Have your say! 📢 – Proposed new homes off Foxhall Road
Bloor Homes are asking for your views on early ideas for around 1,300 new homes off Foxhall Road.
No planning application has been submitted yet. The plans are still in the early stages, with an outline application anticipated for winter 2025/26.
This is your chance to give feedback directly to Bloor and help shape what this new community could look like before any formal application is made.
The detailed plans — including aspects such as design, transport and infrastructure — are still being developed and will be refined based on feedback gathered during this engagement period.
You have until Tuesday 28th October to submit your comments as part of the consultation.
When you share your views with Bloor at bloorhomes-foxhallroad@havingyoursay.co.uk, please also copy in:

Nature For Us All
Next Steps
The seating and pathway are now in situ at Kronji’s Piece, creating a lovely place to sit in the sun (when it’s shining) and soak up the changing colours of the seasons.
The next stage will include creating dead hedges that will provide excellent habitat for all manner of wildlife, together with some insect houses. Charlie Zakss from Suffolk Wildlife Trust will be leading sessions with Suffolk Sight Youth Group and the Open Space Wellbeing Group to create these habitats.
Martlesham in Bloom will be sponsoring and implementing planting which will include native shrubs, and climbers along with bulbs and plug plants. The Parish Council will be planting a wild pear tree and native holly plants.
We are also going to start considering sensory tactile pieces which highlight the plants and wildlife found on the site. If you would like to help and be involved in projects on Kronji’s Piece and the Recreation Ground, please let us know.

New Nature For All Project underway at Kronji's Piece Martlesham Recreation Ground
Work is now underway on the new community initiative aimed at making nature more accessible for everyone. Our contractor has began work creating the accessible pathway and seating areas.
Led by Martlesham Parish Council, with community partnership funding, the project is focussed on creating an inclusive natural space that invites everyone, regardless of age or ability, to connect with the outdoors. The initiative emphasizes sensory immersion, with subtle features designed to help visitors experience nature through sound, touch and scent as well as sight. This project is about creating a space where people can truly engage with nature, whether walking, resting or simply listening to the wind in the trees.
Report of Loose Dogs
